Wild Mystic Oracle Card Deck – Coming Soon!
Wild Mystic Oracle Card Deck – Coming Soon!

I am very excited to announce that in the Fall of 2021 I will be publishing my first set of Oracle Cards, the Wild Mystic Oracle Card Deck, through Peter Pauper Press!

Those of you who have been following my art may remember last year’s Familiar Art Challenge, where I created 16 unique animal designs based on a series of prompts from @MarySyring, an amazing artist in the Instagram community. These art pieces went on to be sold in my Etsy store and soon became one of my most popular products.

So many people have kindly asked me if I would consider expanding them into a set of working Oracle Cards, and thankfully that was always my intention. One of the reasons I launched into the initial art challenge so enthusiastically was because it gave me an excuse to work on something large scale like this (with the added incentive of a creative community of like-minded witchy artists behind me).

I had been planning to expand the series into a deck of 50 cards, with the idea to eventually self-publish them and raise the printing costs through Kickstarter. However, the wonderful folks at Peter Pauper Press contacted me last year as they were very excited to work alongside me on the project and publish the cards through their company. This was incredibly exciting as not only did this give me the time and funds to create the project (rather than working on it in my spare time between jobs and commissions) but it would also allow me to get my cards out into the world to a wider audience.

Peter Pauper Press produce a wide range of fine books and prints, and I am lucky enough to own a number of their gorgeous notebooks. I cannot wait to see how these cards turn out and I know that with their support and experience, they will be beautiful.

I have been a practicing Witch and Pagan since I was 13 years old, receiving my first tarot card deck when I was 15, and using many oracle card decks and tarot variations since then to hone my own intuition and practice. As an artist, analyzing the beautiful artwork on these intricate tools of divination has long been a passion, and the idea of adding my own artwork to that world is incredibly exciting.

The Wild Mystic Oracle Card Deck will feature 50 illustrated cards of different animals from around the world, accompanied by words which will act as prompts for your own intuitive readings. There will also be a booklet with recommended readings based on my own interpretations, but this card deck is for YOU. The artwork is intricate and stylistic with many patterns, hidden symbols and meditative details for you to get lost in, and find your own meaning.

I will be writing more about the deck and the process of creating the artwork over the coming months on my website, and I hope you will join me there. I am incredibly proud of the artwork in the Wild Mystic Oracle Card Deck and I know it will be a gorgeous artifact of magickal practice. I am so excited to preview the new designs over the coming months and I hope you are as excited as I am.

Recently bought the wild mystic Oracle deck and while beautifully made… I got doubles of 40 cards and have one card of the deck of fifty missing .. along with the other missing cards because of the doubles. Amazingly made deck and was very excited to find it… But I’m wondering if I can get the actual deck as a whole ???? Not angry or disgruntled. Just curious if there’s anyone I can email or possibly call? I purchased this from Barnes and nobles in freehold NJ near where I live. The package was sealed nothing ripped or broken into at all.. just a little confused with the packaging of this item… 40 doubles is well alot..

    • Hi Abigail,

Thank you so much for getting in touch. I am so sorry that there was a fault with your card deck. That is so frustrating, so thank you for being so understanding and complimentary of the deck despite this – that is indeed a lot of doubles!

Peter Pauper Press, who have published and manufactured the deck, have provided me with an email to pass on to anyone who may have issues. So if you wouldn’t mind emailing: [email protected] and hopefully they will be able to help you.

If they do not get back to you in a reasonable time, feel free to contact me again and I will see what I can do.

I am currently working up some more up-to-date blog posts surrounding the launch of the deck (as there were so many logistical issues which I feel the need to explain properly, and have delayed my posts on the deck launch until I have all the information from the publisher).

Once again I am so sorry that this has happened, and please let me know what happens either way.

Thanks again for your kind words about the deck despite this issue 🖤
