This was an illustration for my short story 'Snow Blindness' which was published in the Cardiff online magazine: The Sprout. 

"The child rested his dark head on the soft pillow. From his bed he could see the large white flakes drifting slowly past his window. A snowy lullaby. The sky behind them was deep navy, dark and gorged on thick soupy clouds of night.

A tender, pale touch caressed his forehead as his mother kissed her son good night. She moved like a spectre through the darkened bedroom, gliding over his messy floor, evading toys and balled up clothes as she did every night.
